Introduction
Nashik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (NDMVP) established the KTHM college. It has junior and senior college wings. NDMVP is one of the progressive and pioneer educational institutions of Maharashtra. Taking inspiration from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Rajashri Shahu Chhatrapati, NDMVP was established by Karmaveer Ravsaheb Thorat, Ganpatdada More, D.R. Bhosale, Kirteevanrao Nimbalkar, Vithoba Patil Kandalaskar. It was started with one hostel and five students. Karmaveer Bhaurao Hire, Karmaveer Kakasaheb Wagh and Karmaveer Annasaheb Murkute in later years run and developed the institute further to reach to the corners of surrounding cities and villages of Nashik.
The college was established in June 1969, which is affiliated to Poona University. It has Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Science branches. The number of students in 1969 was 500, which has increased to 11125 in 1996-97. The college has attracted students not only from Nashik, but also from the whole District, and North Maharashtra.

Eligibility for the above courses
Eligibility for these courses is SSC and Completion of 11th Standard successfully for 11th and 12th Std respectively. These courses are covered under 'Apprentice Act' . On successful completion of 'Electronic Technology' course, a student can take admission in Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University for Diploma in Applied Electronics. On successful completion of 12th Standard, students can take admission for F.Y.B.A. , F.Y.B.Com. or F.Y. Science.
Medium of Instructions
The College offers Marathi and English medium of instructions for Arts and Commerce, whereas for science, only English medium of instructions is available.
